KID'S RALLY REPORTS

Hallowtree

6th to the 8th November

Fri---

I arrived late at about 6 o’clock to a very cold dark evening, when we got there dinner was waiting to be cooked and mean while me and Kelsey were sorting Lenny out as we only had him this weekend because Buster and Fizz are scared of big bangs! After dinner we were over the gazebo's to pay our dues and say our hello’s and then we went off to bed.

Sat---

We woke about 9 o`clock to help Kevin with the pallets for the bonfire and we got two trips on the trailer which was fun, thanks again Kev! We dressed our awning for the evening’s event then set off to Ipswich to get some trainers and bought back chips! Yum! Later that night we put Halloween clothes on to get ready for trick or treat. Then came burning the guys we bought or made, ours was called CHARLIE, and many people said it was me, which I found funny. Thanks to Mark for starting the fire, and he was very lucky as well,  almost joined the flames but luckily pulling away quickly saved him.  Then we set the fireworks off, rockets not that great but the others were brill!  Kev got the karaoke started and we all had a sing along, I eventually went to bed at 11 p.m. all smelly but happy!

Sun---

We had a lazy morning and sorted out the rubbish so we could put it on the bonfire and at 11 o’clock me and Kelsey sat down, got our teas and Syd got us all together for 1 minutes silence for our troops. After, me and Kelsey were the only kids sat down, so we did the raffle as the others were around the bonfire, Janet and Syd won the raffle, I did not enter the kids comp because we simply had sooo.......... much to do over the weekend.

So then we come to the end of another year, and just to say it was a great one. I think everyone can agree! Thanks again for a great weekend and whole year, well done to those who won the weekend quizzes and I hope to see you all next year.

Friday

We finally got there, we started to unpack, I said to mum I can not wait to do trick or treat tomorrow. When we finished unpacking and had dinner the rattle went and we went over to the gazebo's for tea ,we soon came back as it was cold and wet.

Saturday

We got up, got changed and decorated the van, then went off shopping and bought new boots. When we got back we had out dinner, got changed and went to the gazebo's to make some chocolate apples for the firework night.  A bit later we did out trick or treat and got loads of sweetie’s, thanks everyone.  Later we went on the werewolf walk, lots of people were screaming and a few people jumped as well, it was fun! Later we watched the fire being lit with our Charlie (the spooky guy) on it, then watched the fireworks go off.  After, we had jacket spuds and pumpkin soup, oh yes also chestnuts and hot dogs. Some of us kids played on the tree behind the fire, it was lovely and warm, and we were very very careful.  All too soon it was bedtime I was tired and full!

Sunday

Got up, had breakfast, got changed, Mike did the raffle, started to pack up, we got the rubbish ready and went over to the bonfire which was still going a bit so we could burn our rubbish.  When we came back from the fire the rattle went and we had out teas. I won the dressing outfit, I was very surprised.  Me and Mike did the raffle and then it was soon time to go.  Me and mum left in the RV this time because Joe borrowed our car to tow his van home.

That's it for another year, so will see some people at the Pantomime, but I hope everyone else has a great Christmas and will see you all in the new year.

Great Sailing

23rd - 25th October

Fri---

Got there in the dark about 6 p.m. to have our dinner and we went over the hall at 9 p.m., not much happened tonight, bed pretty early.

Sat----

Woke really early to sun and to let out the dogs, we went out to home and to town to do some bits and bobs and we met Beckie, Kiera and Charlie up in town. About 7 p.m. we went over the hall to start setting up because we hosted this weekend.  I was the head master and Beckie my sidekick head mistress!!! We all had allocated jobs and was a brill night had by all, including my mum who tried to keep it in order but had too many naughty school boys to sort out!! Ha ha ! After a brilliant and exhausting night it was off to bed.

Sun----

Woke early forgetting the clocks went back an hour so I did the raffle at 9.30 a.m., at 11 a.m. we went over the hall to give out prizes, and in one good fortune one person won everything so well done Cath. (can you pass a bit of that luck onto us please??)

Thanks for all your support and I hope you fully enjoyed our weekend and had a safe journey home. (apart from Joe and Julie who broke down outside the Dolphin pub in Braintree! Bet you didn’t know it would take 3 hrs from Braintree to Colchester did you.)

Friday

I had great fun when I got there, it was all set up for us we did not need to do any work because Dave set it up when we were at school. I had my dinner and then went to see Janet and Syd, they gave us bones for the dogs, then I gave back there bowl, I went to see Kiera but they went with Josh, Tom and Charlie to see the fireworks. I wanted to go but I did not know were they were until they got back, I went to look for Charlie Larkin but it was too dark so I went to the caravan to get warm, so then I went to coffee night and then went to bed.

Saturday

The next morning we went home to get some stuff and went to town and we saw Charlie, Kiera and Beckie, then we came home, we went for a meeting and then were sent to the play room and sorted out our name tags for the evenings host.  Mum got onto the committee, and Sarah got the catering job, well done to you both! After the meeting we went back and had dinner. Then it was time to get ready for the "back to school evening!!". Lots of the boys were told off because they were very noisy and kept throwing things at us teachers and the girls. The girls were good, the girls got 54 and the boys got 44 it was quite amazing. The girls won, I thought the boys were going to win but they were too naughty, so they lost!!!!. After we went to bed I said to myself I had great fun, I fell asleep with Lenny and he took up all my bed.

Sunday

Next morning I went to coffee morning, had a cake with tea, talked about back to school and gave out prizes and answers. Well done Cathy for winning almost everything.  Soon we were packed and we said goodbye to everyone. Hope to see everyone at the next and final rally of the year.

Bye bye for now

love

Fri---

Got there at 5 ish to see the RV all set up and ready! After a while we had our dinner and me and Dave went to set up the gazebo's in the RAIN! I was soaked! Then at nine we went over to the gazebo's to pay our dues to Kev and Harry! Us kids got bored so we all went off to our van to watch TV and talk to each other, then at 11 p.m. we all went to bed and tomorrow was a mystery……

Sat-----

We woke at 8 a.m. to let the dogs out for a tinkle. Me and Kelsey went off to play with Kiera. About 10 a.m. me and Dave drove miles to find a fishing tackle shop and we bought some bait and stuff and also got Kelsey a whip (pole fishing), finally we found it after about 1 1/2 hrs. When we got back I went out again with Charlie L, Kiera, Kelsey and Mum to Tesco’s to buy make-up. When we finally got back we had the kids comp. which was to make biscuits, Charlie L won, well done to her! So then off to the gazebo's at 8 p.m. for the fun and games which was very funny, but I mostly enjoyed the adverts because our team AKA kid’s  won the night overall, and we beat the adults. Ha ha ha!!

Sun---

Woke at 9 a.m. to let the dogs out and at 10 a.m. I went to get the raffle box, and I did it once again on my own! Oops I picked Karla’s raffle out the box and got two great big kisses from her and one pound for picking her number out! Then we packed up and left early because we had some friends coming round!

Thanks to all the people who made this weekend enjoyable!

Friday

We got there and it had started to rain, but we had the gazebo's to put up.  So Mike and Dave put on their waterproofs and started with them.  When the rains slowed other members came out to help.  When they finished came in and dried off, we had dinner just before paying our monies in the gazebo's then off for an early night.

Saturday

Mike and Dave said they were off to find a fishing shop but got lost! When they got back me, Kiera, Charlie, Mum and Mike went to Tesco to buy me make-up.  When we got back we did our cookie competition, I did angels.  Charlie won that one.  At night-time we played a guess the drawing game and also had to make up adverts.

Sunday

Woke to sunshine for a change.  I was not ready so Mike ran off and did the raffle on his own! After tea we said our goodbyes and went off home. Another good weekend had.

Fields End Water

24th – 27th September

Thursday

When we got there Dave was waiting for us and we went to get chips, we were all very hungry and it was an early night for us all.

Friday

We woke, had breakfast and then watched TV for a while.  Mike and Dave went fishing so me and Mum went to the Factory shop and I bought a bright pink tutu and leggings and slippers, they were great. We went to see Mike and Dave fishing but it was boring so we went back and put dinner on.  Mum had a rest while I played with Charlie.  After dinner Dave helped set up the gazebos and after we paid our money and went to bed.

Saturday

Mike and Dave went fishing early and woke us all up.  We had a lazy day today.  We went over to the lake to cook breakfast for Dave and Mike.  Mike did not catch any fish but Dave won again this year. In the gazebos we had pancakes and crumpets they were yummy, I was soooo tired so went to bed early.

Sunday

Once I put the bedding away and got dressed I was just in time to help mike with the last couple of vans for the raffle. At the coffee morning Mum and Dave won the adults competition and the arrival prize, so Dave offered to do the report.  Then it was time to go home, me and mum left Mike and Dave to it because they went fishing again.  See you all again soon.

Thursday

It was a nice evening when we arrived and Dave met us and we went to the local chippy for our dinner, after eating we watched the X FACTOR which I think is pretty boring sorry Karla!

Friday

Up about six to let the dogs out and I accidentally woke Harry and Gill when the resident dog, Monkey ,decided to come and annoy our dogs by teasing them! About 10.30 we went fishing and finished about 6.30. I caught 1 and Dave caught 2. After that Dave went to help set up the gazebos while me and mum and Kelsey ate our dinner of meatballs and pasta, very nice. At 9 p.m. we went over the gazebos to pay our dues to Kevin.

Saturday

We woke early to go do the fishing competition that started about 8 am.  I had no fish and no bites what so ever, but Tom was pulling them in like no tomorrow and in the end he won the Junior competition and Dave won the adult competition for the second  year running! About 8 ish we went over the gazebos and had pancakes and crumpets which were cooked by Penny, Pat, Janet, Karla and Dave, n thanks for that, about 9.30 pm I went to bed because I was up early, and so did all the other kids.

Sunday

Woke at 9.10 to feed the animals and let them out, I did the raffle on my own! Kelsey helped with the last two vans and after that we, (me and Dave) went fishing again and caught 2 very small fish!  Mum and Kelsey went off home because they did not want to go fishing.

Well done to Thomas Nichol and David for winning the fishing, and thanks to everyone who made it a great weekend again!

Arrived to see dinner ready to eat, after we went over to the gazebo's to pay our dues to Kevin and Harry. Dave bought some crisps from Del so we could have them on Saturday night.

Saturday

Woke early to go the lake with Will, Kelsey and Buster.  Later mum come over to the lake with us and Buster had a little paddle, he wanted to go in and swim but we wouldn’t let him so we walked round the lake instead.  Later after lunch  we went to Clacton pier and Syd came too.  We had a go on lots of rides and Syd came off the Waltzer looking a bit green! Later that night we went over to the gazebo's to play trivial pursuits.

Sunday

Woke up at 7 to take the dog for a quick run,  after we packed up me and Kelsey collected the raffle. At 11 o'clock we went for our tea and coffee and Kelsey won the girls competition and I won the boys, (yer at last I won one!!!). Battlesbridge Antiques Centre

23rd-26th July

(Thursday)

When we arrived I was happy that we here. Once we had unpacked we had a drink and something to eat then before I knew it Josh, Tom and Charlie arrived so I went to play with them, so then it got dark we went in, then we went in the gazebo to play, then after we went to bed.

(Friday)

We got up and had breakfast, went out to play with Josh. Me and Josh were bored so the two Dave’s put up a tow rope and made it into a swing. We had great fun.  Before we knew it, it was bed time again!

(Saturday)

It was ok but a little grey when we got up this morning but hoped it would get better.  We went for a walk with Josh’s dad and when we got back little Harry was there and he was funny because he wanted to drive our RV. We had a quiz that night I I think I got 2 answers right!

(Sunday)

We were up early today and it was warm but a bit windy.  We had our tea in the gazebos and I won the colouring competition and won a mug.  Mum and Dave won the adults competition but was not allowed their prize because they are on a diet, so it went to the runners up.  Later after the gazebos were put down we said good bye to everyone and went home.

See you after our holidays.

 Thursday

Got there about 1 pm to have to wait for 45 mins until mum arrived because we did not know where to park! After a while we were all set up and so us kids went off to play around on the (tow) rope which Dave set up with  Dave N, then we played until some gazebos were set up.  Then we played in them until bed time, about 10.30pm.

Friday

Woke to a little sun, then me and Tom went over to the rope swing, then Kelsey and Charlie came over, we played for ages. After a while Corey, Conner and James arrived so we all played football until the rain started to come down on us, it felt like a weeks worth of rain! It also hailed which frightened Josh and Charlie N. After all this we all went in the gazebos for tea and coffee and pay our dues. Me and Tom went with Dave N to close the gate at the bottom of the field, we almost got chased by a fox, me and Tom thought it was a very scary night, we also did the same on Saturday night,  but did not get chased then!!.

Saturday

A lovely day, we were up early to go around my nans for Dave to fix her front door, then we went for a bit of a shop at the local fruit store, when we got back Beckie was there, and she was hosting the night entertainment. Gill and Harry had their son and daughter-in-law over and little Harry, who decided he was going to drive our RV and the old tractor on the next field.  He was soooo funny and great to play with.  Come back soon Harry Jr.

The evenings entertainment was fun because we got everything wrong, and in the middle of the quiz someone spelt Beckie’s name wrong, this is how they spelt it, “Becky” but it is “Beckie”, so from now on she is know as Beckie with an IE.  Thanks for the night Beckie with an IE. Don’t think she was too happy about that one!  We went to bed at 11 pm.I was shattered.

Sunday

Woke at 9.30 am to get up and start packing up. Because my mum and Dave are on a sponsored slim, and  mum and Dave won the adults comp, we could not have the bar of galaxy, so it was given to the runners up, but we could have always eaten it for them because WE ARE NOT on a diet!!!  Kelsey won the kids comp., she got an Eeyore mug.

Thanks to all the people who made this weekend great.

Home Farm, Little Walden

10th to 12th July

Friday

Arrived about 11 ish and popped over to have a chat with Pat, Del, Rita and Bill, then we finished unpacking the RV.  A bit later we fixed up our fishing rods and me and Dave went for a little fish where Dave caught 3 fish and I caught 1!  After dinner we paid our dues in the new gazebos, very nice I must say.

Saturday

Woke to a little drizzle and found that we could not go fishing because there was a match. After a little while it stopped raining and the stupid thunder bugs arrived and started making us itch.  The kids decided to have a swing ball match which never finished. We all had our bbq tea under the gazebos for a change and packed away in time for the bingo that evening.  I won two rounds which earned me £4.30. And then we did a quiz.

Sunday

Woke really early to find we could go do the raffle.  Me and Kelsey did not enter the kid’s com because it was really hard so we surrendered, plus mum left the paperwork outside with the bag, (that we did manage to get a few things in), and they blew away in the wind.  We did find the papers all soaked through though! All in all another great weekend.  Thanks to the stand in Syd and Janet ,(Peter and Edna) and Elaine, Peter and Chris for the hosting.

See you all on the next rally

Friday

We arrived at the 77 club field at about 1 pm and I'm so happy to be there, I have been there before its very nice.  We went to sit with Pat, Del, Rita and Bill and had a drink.  While mummy and Dave were chatting I went to see the White horse, it was nice and kind, and then I took buster over near the horse and he wanted to play with the horse.  We finished unpacking and Mike and Dave went fishing before dinner and paying our dues.

Saturday

We woke up on a drizzly day, we went outside and I said to myself it is going to be a nice  hot day and Mike and I, Josh, Tom and Charlie went for a walk around the lake and then after that Charlie,  Becky and Keira.  Mike and mummy went to Tesco and got us some sweets.  Later  Charlie asked me if I wanted to go to the park with the  others. When we  got back we went fishing with Fred, all of the children went as well, and then we learnt how to do the thriller dance, and then we went back and saw mum standing there, I said can I show you the thriller dance, she said yes, then she said brilliant, then we had dinner.  We played bingo and a quiz.

Sunday

Got up, had my breakfast, and started to pack up at 12 pm and before that we had bacon sandwiches and then said good bye to everyone, and then we left.

See you all very soon

Marks Hall Estate

12th 14th June

Friday

We arrived, and we started to unpack because Dave didn’t do it, he just drunk all the time he was there!  Later we had dinner, it was lovely and then me and Mike went to play in the tree house we found and it was fun.  Later I played with William, Mike, Josh, Keira and Megan. When everyone went for the teas, me, Mike and Keira went back and played in our van until bedtime.

Saturday

We got up, had our breakfast, and then had a big bike ride all together, I was worn out when we got to the visitor centre, I had two drinks, which I needed. When we got back I was worn out big time! I got another drink and then went to the tree house with Josh and played a tooth fairy game. Then Mike called me back to meet our friends who came over for a bbq.  We played into the night and went back in time for crumpets.

Sunday

We did the raffle and prize giving, which the coopers won most of! After tea we went back to our van and packed up most of our things and Dave cooked brunch for us all, it was very tasty.

Because mum had drunk too much wine on Saturday night we stayed on a bit longer than usual so it gave us a chance to go out on our bikes again with our mates.  We packed up and went home about 3 pm.  I had a great weekend this time.

See you all soon

Marks hall estate

12th- 14th June

Friday

We arrived to go down a windy, bumpy road and about 10 minutes later we arrived to help Dave because he was drinking beers for three hours. Then we went off on a bike ride with Will and his sister, and Megan down to the golf course to find some golf balls, we had no luck. At nine we went to pay our dues to Kevin and Syd, not Harry because he was in France for a few weeks. Also on that day Dave N, Joe and Michelle cleaned their vans with our brush so Dave recorded Michelle for prosperity.

Saturday

We went on a bike ride, with most members, down to the visitors centre and cycled back to the camp. About 4 pm, our friends arrived to see us for the night, we had a bbq.  They went home about 10 pm, they got very drunk!! Me, Keira and Kelsey went to our van to make some videos and 15 minutes in to it, my mum opened the door which scared us all.

Sunday

Woke about 8ish and ready to do the raffle, silly of me, I missed Penny and Mick out, so I was lucky I wasn’t threatened again.  Well done to the Coopers who won all the kids competitions, and they also won arrival prize, which Michelle knew nothing about, but I did not win anything this rally, but it was very fun and enjoyable, and hot.  Not out the next rally because we are off to Alton Towers for a long weekend.

See you all in 4 weeks

Waldegraves Holiday Park

Mersey 23rd-31st May

Hi all, everyone else does it so we thought we would share our holiday adventures with you all so here goes . . .

Saturday

Arrived about 12ish to see the hot sun blaring down on us, we unpacked and we found Dave had a puncture on his bike so we had to go and get a new inner tube, on our way out we passed an ambulance but thought nothing of it.  When we got back we were about to fix his puncture when the air ambulance came overhead real close and landed in the next field.  We went to see what had happened and it was a jet skier had fallen and hurt his shoulder, but the high light was waiting for the copter to take off.  It’s so small when you see it on the ground.  We waited and saw it go off, and it sprayed us all with dust and sand!!  We returned to our van and had our dinner. A while later we went over to the club house to find no seats, so we went into the games arcade and I won a…. £1, meanwhile mum and Dave went and won £17 on a fruit machine, how good was that! Oh yeah Dave used the bbq!

Sunday

We chilled out all day, went for a bike ride and checked out the fishing lakes. We went to the clubhouse in the evening to see a show called “Day-Glo Indie Dark”, it was a full-size puppet show, which glowed in the dark, it was brilliant. Oh and Dave used the bbq again.

Monday

Tim came over with his girlfriend and kids.  We had a bbq and played until the evening when we all went over to the clubhouse for a drink and dance.  Dave and Tim invented a new drink call a “Slussian”!  Vodka and slush!  They even set up a group on facebook for fans of Slussian. Kelsey and Tim gave everyone a demonstration of them dancing to “Disturbia” in the Waldegraves got talent competition.  They got a great big round of applause.  Mind you, Tim had had quite a bit to drink!!! Dave used it again… the bbq!

Tuesday

We popped home to check on cats and for Dave to check the post.  When we got back to the van we again chilled out because it was pouring of rain and could not do much else.  Mind you, in the evening we went to the amusements and spend more money on the 2p machines! Dave didn’t use it today!

Wednesday

Pretty much the same as Tuesday, wind and rain, but Dave put back the awning blind as it was rocking the van. We went over to the restaurant tonight and had a roast dinner in a massive Yorkshire pudding as big as the plate it was on, and it only cost £5 each. Kelsey and me could not eat it all and mum and Dave struggled a bit as well.  Dave didn’t bbq, too wet and windy.

Thursday

Was brilliant, we got sunshine and it was warm. We also had a waterfight with Maisie Smith who plays “Tiffany out of Eastenders”.  She is a lot quieter and happier in real life. Oh yeah Dave used the bbq today!

Friday

Was another brilliantly hot day, Tim came over with his girlfriend and kids; we had a water fight and then went over to the Swimming pool.  We all went over to the clubhouse to see the cabaret and more party time for the kids young and old. Dave used bbq today!

Saturday

Lovely sunshine again.  But it was time to start packing!   We went over to the restaurant tonight for a treat, then over to the clubhouse again to watch the cabaret, two young ladies singing all songs from the 60s to the present, they were really, really good.

And we met, (at long last), Sammy the seagull, and got cuddles all round, well apart from Dave.  All the years we have been coming and this is the first time we have met this big celeb!

Sunday

Home today, it’s blooming hot!  All packed and ready to go, we went over to the restaurant for brekkie and noticed there was a charity bike ride coming to Waldegraves. After brekkie we waited for the bikes which arrived around 12:30, they were brilliant, mostly Honda Goldwings, all carrying Grannies!!!  We met up with mum’s friend who’s girlfriend happened to be on one of the bikes.  After everyone had dribbled over the bikes, including mum Dave and Kelsey, we had to leave.  Great holiday had by all, I think.

Can’t wait till the next one. . . none of us can!

.

All our love Mike, Kelsey, Kellie & Dave xxxx

15th – 17th May

Blake Hall

Friday

Arrived about 10.30 p.m., and got locked out the gates, which was scary because we were in the dark, when we did finally get in we said our hello's and I went to bed until 6 a.m.

Saturday

Woke to rain and went to the boot sale and the girls bought a load of junk…. I mean ornaments and bits, and then us kids went to play in the forest and found 6 coot eggs that must have been blown out of the nest during the wind.  One started to hatch in my hand, so we rang the RSPCA to come and collect them, so hopefully most of them will survive. That night we had fun and games and party food and during Janet’s birthday we sang the Macarena song. We were given a task of making something out of a bendy balloon, well there were a few rude examples given when we eventually got to blow them up with the aid of Dave’s battery pump!!!  After that we saw something very disturbing, or should I just say Janet had all her birthdays rolled into one as she was touching men’s “boobs” and bodies, well done, although she guessed correctly first time which one was Syd even though they kept moving and swapping seats.  The one thing I can say is that Dave’s “baby” enjoyed it because he slept well that night, snored like a gooden!

As normal the end came too soon and we went to bed.

Sunday

This morning is a bit rainy, but it can't put us lot off can it?  We went to the gazebos and had our teas, mum won the bonus ball with the number I suggested! but she didn’t give me any of it!  Just before we left the gazebos Janet had her birthday cake cut, that was made by Susan, I mean Sarah, it was scrummy! After we had packed up and said our goodbyes I went home with mum to put dinner on. Kelsey and Kirsty went with Dave and baby to park up the RV.

See you all soon with better weather

Mike x

PS for those who do not know that “baby” is Dave’s belly bump!

Friday

We arrived after school and I brought my friend Kirsty, we both were very excited to see everyone. When we had finished unpacking I went to play with Kirsty and the others.  We went into Braintree again and mum got chips for nearly everyone on the site.  After dinner we went into the gazebos and paid our money. Mum went and picked Mike up from school because he went to France but they got locked out.

Saturday

Kirsty and I did not get up till late, then we went to the boot sale and spent lots of money. We went to the stream with Mike and found some baby bird eggs and one was hatching so we took it back to mum and she called the RSPCA.  The baby was a coot and the lady said it had a good chance it will live. In the night it was Janet’s party and we played pass the parcel and Janet rubbed oil all over 7 men’s bellies including Dave’s baby, I think he enjoyed that! And Janet still picked Syd to go home with that night.

Sunday

It rained hard again but we all got up, watched a bit of telly then had to go to the gazebos again for teas. Mum won the lottery bonus ball. Kirsty and I went back in the RV and it really goes fast when Dave drives it, and Mike went with mum.

See you next rally love Kelsey xx

We arrived and it was lovely and sunny, we played for a little while before we went to the chippy for our dinner.  Afterwards we played until it was time to pay our monies after the doggie thing in the hall at 9.30, afterwards we went to bed.

Saturday

We got up really early and we went to nannies to drop off buster. When we got back Dave did a bbq while we played.  In the night time we had an 80s night, us kids did not know much so we played on the really old games machines in the committee room.  But I did see mum win the singing thing against Joe.

Sunday

We helped Dave N setup things in the field, and then went into the craft fair and helped a lady make earrings.  Later I won the may princess and Sarah was the queen. There was tug of war and maypole dancing, I stayed in it all four times.  In the night we had horse racing and I helped set the horses in the starting points.

Monday

We had to go home, but first we had our 11am meeting and had tea, and I won two prizes.  We had to leave soon after this because we had to pick up my Auntie and Uncle from the airport.

See you all soon lots of love Kelsey x x

Shotley village hall

1st – 4th May

Friday

Arrived about 5ish to see the van already done for us, so me and Kelsey went off to play until dinner, then it was time for the hall, about 10 p.m., due to the dog training, we paid our dues and headed back home.

Saturday

We had to go out early, so we were on our way by 8 a.m. We got back about 2 p.m. to go and help with the hall and talk to members, after all this we had our dinner and did the 80s night, which was way out, even my mum, beat the clubs singer Joe, in a sing off, well done mum! Bad luck Joe! Us kids played in the committee room on the 80's games.  After cleaning the hall we went to bed about 12 a.m.

Sunday

Woke to a little drizzle, and what a very fine day it turned out to be, we did maypole and chose the May Queen and Princess, well done Kelsey and Sarah, it was a very funny day and mum was on Kev's team in the tug of war, and I reckon they were the best. The evening was great, I was threatened my life again, by Syd, but I survived by winning the horse racing, but I lost the final, well done to who did and especially to Pete who won nearly every race!!

Monday

Woke really late to see the raffle at our door, and in no time were over the hall doing prize giving, and Kelsey won yet again! Well done to all the other winners, and by the way I did not win any prize this weekend ok!!  Mum and Kelsey had to go straight after the meeting as they had to go to the airport, but we reckon it was just to get out of the packing up!

Hope to see you all next rally

24th – 26th April 2009

Friday

We arrived about 5ish to see loads of vans already here, then more vans arrived which was great. Then it was time for jacket potato, salad and chicken. (Dave cooked tonight). Time went so quick, before we knew it, it was time to got to the hall and pay our dues and get all the quizzes off the Coopkins.

Saturday

Woke to lovely sun and a little rain, and we all (us kids) went down fishing with Dave N, Tom and Josh, we caught…. ready for it…. We caught 1 fish, isn’t that just  amazing, 6 kids and 3 rods, and we were there for three hours. We then all walked down the stream onto the dam, A.K.A, very deep water. We also made a little den out of wood, and after 30 minuets we gave up! Typical Josh, he fell in and got soaked, and I got very muddy and found loads of hidden treasure, well a few coins, and a toilet, and a golf ball!! Then we went back to find the mums doing the BBQ, and the dads doing the preparing … god, what were we thinking.  We had a dinner party with the Coopers and Larkin’s, and so did half the club. 1 hour later it was time to go over the hall for the roll reversal challenges, where the men did ladies stuff ,and vice versa, such as, the men got make up put on them, they looked so beautiful, (I must say Barry, Dave and Harry looked  GORGEOUS!!!),  the ladies wired the plugs, I think they found it hard.  Thanks to the Coopkins, it was a great night, and not forgetting they thought I looked lovely behind the make-up. I helped sweep up at the hall at almost 11.30., and we went to bed after midnight.

Sunday

Woke up at 4 am, had to let Buster out because he needed a wee. After 9 we took Buster to the shop to get the Sunday newspaper, then it was 40 minuets until the coffee morning, so me and Kelsey went to play for that time. At coffee morning we had the winners of the weekends competitions read out, and Kelsey won the girl competition and Syd said I had survived yet another week.

See you all soon

Saturday

Woke to sun and asked if we can go fishing with Tom and Josh, and typical Josh fell straight in and got totally soaked and after a while it was time for the  hall, it was a great night thanks, we went to bed about 12.20 am, we were very tired.

Sunday

Woke really early to find that me and Mike had to go to the shop with Mr. whiner (buster) to get the papers. Well done to those who won the competitions and well done the adults.

Easter Rally – Holme Hale

9th April – 13th April

Friday – We arrived and everybody had gone on a walk.  About 10 minutes later they had all got back.   We all went in the hall for a hot X bun and a cuppa.  I went into the hall and taught everyone how to play the guitar (well, everyone that wanted to!).  I did so until it was time for Mister and Missus.  It was pretty funny.

Saturday – I woke up and played my guitar.  We went out to Dereham to get stuff.  I played in the hall as usual.  After we watched Grandad skin a pheasant.  We played rounders and had a game show.

Sunday – We all went in the hall for Easter fun and games.  They announced boy and girl of the year.  We had Easter tea and had a barn dance which was fun.

It was a great weekend, thank you for making me Boy of the Year and congratulations to Kiera for winning Girl of the Year.  I hope to see you all soon.

(Good)Friday

Woke about 8 ish to lovely sunshine, had brekkie, then went off to play again.  After lunch it was time for the walk, thought out by Gill, most of the club came except some oldies, (Mum and Dave). When we got back we got a welcome hot cuppa  Thanks again Gill for the walk and for looking after us, and Debbie & Karla & Sarah for the hot X buns and teas. After that the kids went in the hall to play and Thomas brought his electric guitar, so all the kids had a go on it. Thanks Tom. We stayed in the hall until "Mister and Missus", which was brill! We finally went to bed about 11 pm.

Saturday

Woke to rain, (lovely), but it took 45 mins for it to stop, then us kids went off to the hall for about 4 hours, then all of us went to the park and stayed there until our dinner, then went out to the park once again, but this time it was only me, Kelsey and William, because the others were still having dinner. After a little while it was time for the game show hosted by Jennifer Nichol, and guess who won?, and it was not the L.B.C (thank god), it was the ……LOUDMOUTHS (us kids). We went to bed at 11.30 pm

Sunday

Woke to the rain again, but only drizzle. about 11am it was time for the Easter egg hunt, and trust the little helpers to put mine in the tree!! That was very good fun though!! Then we did our Easter bonnets, they all looked brill, but guess who won?, me. (Michael) and I won the egg competition.

Monday

Went to the hall at 11am to do prize giving and I won an Easter egg and some choccy bars, thanks to those who judged them. The other thing is, Harry has ceased fire to kill me, as I'm too old for him to want to kill me, so he now has to find another victim, thanks Harry for giving me the chance to live!!!

But I think Syd and Janet want to kill me now!!!

Hope to see you at the next rally

EASTER-

Holme Hale

 Thursday

When we arrived we were glad it took us 2 hours and only 20 mins to unpack, me and Mike went off to play in the park and hall with Keira, Becky, Charlie and Will.  We had dinner after playing, and then we went into the hall for coffee night and went to bed.

Friday

Me and Mike got up at 8 00 and enjoyed the sun and playing with the kids in the morning, and that’s when Josh, Tom and Charlie arrived, but the best thing is that Thomas had brought his electric guitar into the hall.  It was fun, later we went on the walk and got muddy in a boggy bit.  We came back and had a drink of tea and a cake. We went and played on the swings again. Later we had dinner, and after went into the hall for a Mr and Mrs Game. Then we were really tired after running about and playing so ,we went to bed.

Saturday

We got up and had breakfast and went to play with our friends again. We went to a market in the town near us and we saw Sid there who has lost Janet, and he looked sad, so we went and sat with him till it started to rain, then we got chips and ate them under the band stand in the middle of the market. On the way home we saw a bird and picked it up for Beau, and then Fred ripped it to bits to cook it. It was a laughing matter for the kids.              `

Sunday

Woke to the rain, and we went in the hall to show off our hats and eggs, I thought they were all brilliant, then we all went on a walk, and when we came back we  went on the swings, then at 8 pm we had our Barn Dance, and I enjoyed it very much.

Monday

Went over the hall to see all the winners, and I won the Easter hat competition, thank you.  We finished in the hall, and finished with the packing, and said bye bye to everyone and then we went home.

See you again soon
